Algeria Wins World Cup in Super Web Soccer

First Togo, now Algeria? Looks like Africa might be taking over the soccer world very soon… Alright well anyways, this was just another stupid idea of mine. Bored on a Saturday night (or Sunday morning if you want to be technical), I decided to play Super Web Soccer’s World Cup 2010 as the worst team in the game (based on the stats): Algeria. And I eventually won the World Cup, defeating Netherlands, Chile, Spain, Germany, and Italy (five soccer powerhouses). All the goals in this video were scored rather bizarrely…in fact the last goal should never have even counted! Therefore, on a likelihood scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being extremely likely to occur in the future, this would get a -22.

An array of clips and images compiled by me to match the lyrics, that chronicle the magic moments of Jack Charltons time in charge of the Republic of Ireland side. The first time I heard this song was in 07, uploaded with a video by worm2345. It seems to have been removed so I uploaded it again with my own video, hope you enjoy it! I do not own the music or clips used in this video.

Argentina – Cameroon World Cup 1990 Italy 1st half

Sorry about lousy video/audio quality. A win that shocked the world: Back then quite unknown African Lions defeated the World Champions. 2nd half also has one of the most brutal tackles in world cup football: Benjamin Massing on Claudio Caniggia. After this match Argentina president Carlos Menem has been quoted to say about this match “Our national team has put the whole country into shame”. Menem also demanded Bilardo to do radical changes to the lineup after the game.

World Cup Final 1990 Argentina-West Germany (English commentary)

The most controversial and scandalous final in World Cup history. West Germany, the best team of the tournament deserved to win the title, but not this way. The refereeing looked so blatantly biased that it raises up many questions and suspicions even after 20 years. It was a dreadful game because of the Mexican referee, and a disgrace to football in every possible way. Argentina had 4 key players suspended, thus Bilardo was forced to use very defensive 5-4-1 formation so the game was bound to be boring. Argentina 1990 team has a bad reputation but at least you must admit that their defense was extremely solid and tough. Germany got only one shot on goal in this game. This composition doesn’t have much footage of the actual game because there was very little football actually played.

My Prediction for Euro 2012 Via Tecmo World Cup Soccer (NES)

Probably the dumbest idea that I’ve ever had in mind to this date, but I decided to end 2011 with my way to predict Euro 2012…at least the Championship match. So if what happens in this video actually does happen in the Euro 2012 Final (not necessarily the correct score), everyone who watches this video will have to call me Nostradamus and send me paella con fusilli alfredo (and if you don’t know what that is, I shall drink your milkshake). In case you can’t tell which team is which in this video, Spain is in pink: the color that tough guys wear. Italy is in blue: the color that isn’t even on their flag. I won’t tell you the result of this game in the description…you will have to see for yourself who wins between the past two World Cup champions. Despite being in the same group for group play, it is possible for both Italy and Spain to meet up in the Euro 2012 Final. If Italy and Spain finish 1-2 in their group (doesn’t matter which order), both teams will advance to the knockout stage. Should that happen, the only way they can play each other again is if both Spain and Italy win their respective quarterfinal and semifinal matches. If all of the aforementioned occurs, we will then see if the Azzurri get their revenge from Euro 2008. And hey, if an octopus could successfully predict the 2010 World Cup Champion, I should be able to successfully predict the Euro 2012 Champion via video games.
