Street Celebrations after All Blacks became world champions

New Zealand are the 2011 world cup champions after narrowly defeating an unpredictable French side. I filmed some footage of the moment the final whistle went and the celebrations that followed in Auckland. (the reason for the music over the video, is a. when it gets loud, my camera distorts, and it got very, very, VERY loud haha and b. it’s just epic) What an end to a wonderful world cup.

Kiwis Celebrate Rugby World Cup Victory 2011

Hosts New Zealand just about held their collective nerve to edge France 8-7 at Eden Park in Auckland and win the World Cup for the second time after a gap of 24 years.

The Birando UK team likes to get out and about but when Kiwi Dave said he was popping home last friday we didn’t realise he meant to the other side of the world! He was nice enough to send us through a few clips he captured from the Opening ceremony of the Rugby World Cup down at Eden Park in Auckland, NZ. Looks like a great start to the tournament! Ceremonial Maori haka which was followed shortly after by the Tonga vs All Blacks game which had a haka from both teams. England vs Argentina tonight, come on England!
